TORONTO, Dec. 8 /CNW/ - Data & Audio Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc. (DAVE Wireless) announced today that it has successfully completed its first test call on its state-of-the-art Ericsson 3G network - marking an important milestone as the company gears up to launch.
"We're building a great wireless company on a world-class network - and we're doing it on schedule," said Vice President of Network Operations Sharyn Gravelle. "We are one step closer to bringing Canadians the wireless service and value they deserve in early 2010."
The mobile call, completed by DAVE Wireless' network team late last week, validated the performance and reliability of 3G mobile devices on the company's HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) network. For future mobile broadband services, the network is also enabled with the capability of HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access evolution).
